I Have Lived A Thousand Years- Livia Bitton Jackson

Significance
The author is trying to say that back in the days the life that people lived wasn't so good and especially during the Holocaust. People in the Holocaust get treated very badly especially the Jews they get tortured. I chose this book because I wanted to learn about the Holocaust and how people survived in the Holocaust because of the tortured little kids and their moms and dads getting killed by them. This work matters because they suffered in the Holocaust and got very sick because of this. the Holocaust was very bad there was a lot of shouting and shooting at people and the Germans played a lot of traps for them to die. I think this is important because a lot of people died and we have to remember this because people fought for their lives and almost died and not a lot of people survived that Holocaust. It relates to our lives because it was a real story and people have to remember stuff about the Holocaust. People would read this book because just like me I wanted to learn how people survived in the Holocaust.
Perspective
This book was written in 1999 and that was the first paperback book but in 1997 it was the copyright. You could explain this to a 3rd grader by saying there was a war between the Germans and the Jews and the Jews got sent to a camp and they had to work all day long because they weren't in the war and the Germans had to take carge of them but they weren't really nice to them and so the Jews who were bad got killed by the Germans. I think that the problem was that the Jews weren't getting very good people to take care of them.
Evidence
the argument the author is trying to make is that in the Holocaust Jews can't really do stuff in the Holocaust and if they do stuff wrong they get a punishment and sometimes they might get killed so they have to do exactly what the German's say to do.
Connection
The context/history is that it started LONG time ago and so that is very historic and nice to know about. This event changed life because now we don't hate the Jews and people get a long and people aren't slaves for the Germans. This work applies to my life because one of my friends is a Jew and if the Holocaust was still going me and my friend wouldn't be best friends and so this has changed my life a lot. This effects other peoples life because they always have to have a Jewish person in there life so this can effect there lives too.
Supposition
If i put another situation it would be pretty bad situation, people would get very bad people will get into wars and it would be crazy.
